Why you need a Registered Dietitian
A registered dietitian (RD) is a professional who provides
reliable, objective nutrition advice. RDs separate facts from fads,
healthy meals from dangerous diets, and translate the latest
scientific findings into easy to understand nutrition
information.
The letters "RD" after a person's name signify that they have
completed a minimum four years of education and training in
dietetics or related area in an accredited U.S. college or
university, and has demonstrated that knowledge through
successful completion of a credentialing examination. Many
dietitians also hold advanced degrees. In addition, RDs
participate in continuing education programs to keep current
with the latest developments in the nutrition field. RDs are the
trusted authority on diet, food, and nutrition. RDs offer medical
nutritional therapy, developing individual nutrition care plans
for people with acute and long-term illnesses, and provide
counseling in health promotion and disease prevention. Your
personal registered dietitian can provide you with the personal
attention you deserve, to create a diet and nutrition program just
for you.

NATIONWIDE NUTRITION NETWORK. This referral service can
connect you to a registered dietitian in you area. The registered
dietitian you choose has been qualified by the ADA, which is the
world's largest association of nutrition and food experts.
Here is how the referral service works:
